How to take care of your candle
How to take care of your candle
In order to ensure safe and optimal combustion and thus prolong the life of your candle, here are some recommendations to follow:
- When you light your candle for the first time, make sure it burns at least until the wax has melted to the edge of the container (about 3 hours).
- For optimal combustion, the flame must be vertical. If it wobbles, place your candle away from drafts. It will increase its life expectancy!
- The wick of the candle should always ideally measure 0.5cm. If not, cut it! This will allow for better combustion.
- Don't let debris taint the wax. If bits of wick or match fall in, remove them as soon as possible. The wax pool should be kept clean.
- To extinguish your candle, do not blow on the flame! Instead, use a snuffer or your previously wet fingers (be careful, at your own risk).
